An innovative used tyres recycling process that allow to Ecoalf developing products without coagulants, chemicals or adhesives.
The tyre is very difficult to recycle as it contains metals, antioxidants and fabric pieces. It took two years to separate those elements and create a clean powder. The final objective was to compress the clean powder without using any glue.
Less natural resources
Recycling rubber tires means that millions of scrap tires are no longer dumped in landfills, or left illegally in lakes, abandoned lots, along the side of the road and in sensitive habitats. Instead, more than 90 percent of these tires are being recycled and reused annually. Recycling saves impressive amounts of energy, which ultimately reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Using recycled rubber in molded products, creates a substantially smaller carbon footprintas compared to using virgin plastic (by up to 20 times).
