Even on the longest day of the year, the man who takes no exemptions to a challenge pushes boundaries once again to fulfil his passion for sports and taking care of the planet.

Meet Josef Ajram, the Barcelona born influencer who knows how to defy limits and take on new challenges and opportunities whenever and wherever they may be. Josef’s life is a testament to the power of discipline for his love of cycling, and passion to becoming a part of the change to the betterment of our planet. At an early age, Josef was introduced to the two-wheel world of cycling by his grandfather, where the exhilaration and the adventurous freedom the sport has to offer were unmatched.

It became clear to Josef that cycling was no ordinary hobby, but a passionate way of life that would shape his journey throughout towards new horizons. Josef’s passion does not only lie on the on the pedals, but with his continuous commitment towards taking care of the planet and achieving a sustainable lifestyle. To celebrate the longest day of the year, Josef and a team of passion-driven cyclists embarked on a challenge crafted not only for sports lovers, but for those dedicated to taking care of the planet. From the heart of Barcelona Spain, a 380km fleet over the country and coastline of Catalonia to the port of Arenys del Mar and discover the Upcycling the Oceans project of the Ecoalf Foundation.

From 06:11am, Josef and his team set out from the Ecoalf Stour in Avinguda Diagonal in Barcelona, where they made the first 100km leg of their journey south along the coast towards Tarragona.

In striving to push past their limits and beyond, the team pushed themselves inland, and further 200km north past Barcelona, reaching Girona where they would then make their final homestretch of 80km back towards the port at Arenys del Mar. Thus, concluding their embarkment by reaching the fishermen of the Upcycling the Oceans project, dedicated to help clean our oceans of plastic waste and committed to the taking care of the planet.
