1ST NET-ZERO STORE OPENED IN MADRID

We opened our first Net-Zero store at Caleido Tower in December 2022. Working alongside international interior designer Lorenzo Castillo and experts in bioclimatic architecture MVN arquitectos, we integrated locally sources wood beams across the 149 m2 space. The store is also equipped with 15 solar panels to provide renewable energy.

    SUSTAINABILITY REPORT PUBLISHED

At Ecoalf we are implementing a global plan that involves all departments, a plan to measure the impact of everything we do, of each product, how we transport it... This year we voluntarily published our first Sustainability Report to be completely transparent with our community, see where we can improve, and how we can reach our objectives.

Born in 2015, the Upcycling the Oceans project’s main objective is to promote the selective recovery of waste in order to recycle it, recover it and avoid its harmful impact on the environment. It collaborates with over 4,000 fishermen across Spain, Greece, Italy and France collecting over 1,000 tonnes of waste. This year, we turned over 1.5 million plastic bottles from the bottom of the ocean into our top-quality Ocean Yarn.

TONNES OF WASTE COLLECTED FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN

Rivers, floods, and wind drag waste into the ocean, that is where the idea for Ecoalf Foundation’s project Clean Rivers, Save Oceans began. This project unites volunteers to clean plastic and other waste, as well as restore biodiversity along Madrid’s Jarama River.
