Ecoalf 1.0 SS23

AFTER 12 YEARS OF R&D IN RECYCLED FABRICS, WE LAUNCHED A TIMELESS, SUSTAINABLE, PREMIUM LINE: ECOALF 1.0. THE LINE MERGES MINIMALIST FORMS AND NEUTRAL COLORS WITH TECHNICAL, FILAMENTS THAT HAVE THE LOWEST ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ON THE MARKET.

One of our favorite materials in the collection is our Ocean Yarn, spun with recycled plastic bottles collected from the bottom of the ocean through Ecoalf Foundation’s Upcycling the Oceans project which unites more than 4,000 fishermen across the Mediterranean Sea.

Removing plastic from the oceans is only half of the solution, the other is preventing it from getting there. Each year, half a million tonnes of microfibers are released into the ocean simply from washing synthetic materials. We integrate a yarn that utilizes hydrogen technology to seal all microfibers into the silicone-free yarn and limit the release of microplastics into our oceans and ecosystems.

This sustainable, premium line is not only about fashion, it’s about a lifestyle, our conviction and core vision. It is born to reshape not only our way of dressing, but also our way of living by merging the latest innovations in sustainability with neutral colors and minimalist forms that you can wear today, tomorrow and for the many years to come.

  • Kapok

Kapok is a type of fruit that can be picked from the tree and turned into a soft silky fiber. The tree has a lifespan of 25 years and the organic kapok is mixed with organic cotton to save over 4,000 liters of water per T-shirt.
  • Recycled Cotton

By using recycled cotton, our Bonete Jacket reduces water consumption by 86% compared to conventional cotton. Leftover fabrics are collected, the fibers are mechanically recycled, cleaned, and the new yarn is then spun.

  • Recycled Cashmere

We use recycled cashmere to limit over production and overgrazing. It is an extremely delicate and time-consuming process done by hand, that relies on years of experience to separate the different fibers based on their quality and color.

  • Post-Consumer Garments

To avoid textile waste, the Taitaalf Jacket is 100% recycled polyester made from post-consumer garments. Across the collection, it has has prevented 132kg of waste from sitting in a landfill.
