WE OPEN OUR FIRST STORE MADE WITH PAPER AND CARDBOARD

Located at 5 Txurruka Street, the 185 m² store is made with FSC-certified paper for both the walls and the furniture (tables, fitting rooms, shelves…), making it monomaterial and recyclable—an alternative to conventional construction. The project was carried out in collaboration with Smurfit Westrock, the world’s largest integrated paper-based packaging manufacturer.

The walls are made of Kraft paper, and for the furniture we used double-wall corrugated cardboard with virgin-fiber outer layers and recycled-fiber corrugated sheets, making the entire structure 100% recyclable and biodegradable in a very short period of time. It is a local project, as the wood used as raw material comes from forests in the south of France, certified by FSC and PEFC.

Using corrugated cardboard for the furniture ensures real and effective circularity of natural resources, offering strong resistance to vertical compression and bending. In addition, to protect and extend the lifespan of the furniture, the upper surface has been covered with methacrylate.
