IT’S A SIMPLE PROCESS ALL YOU NEED ARE SOME SCISSORS TO CUT THE THIN THREADS THAT CONNECT EACH PIECE:

  • 1. FOR THE MULTI-LAYER COATS
Separate the synthetic polyester layer from the natural wool layer by unfastening the buttons that hold them together.

  • 2. FOR THE NATURAL WOOL LAYER
Begin by removing the 100% recycled polyester tags by cutting the threads that attach them to the coat (they can be recycled with the synthetic, recycled polyester layer).

  • 3. REMOVE THE ZIPPER
Cut along the zipper’s tape to remove the zipper, the entire zipper is made from a dope-dyed, recycled polyester like the synthetic layer (except for the metallic slider which needs to be separated and recycled on its own).

  • 4. REMOVE THE BUTTONS
Remove the buttons on the synthetic polyester layer and natural wool layer by cutting the thread that holds them to the coat, they are biodegradable.

  • 5. FOR THE SYNTHETIC LAYER
The only component you need to remove besides the buttons is the metallic slider on the zipper, everything else (the tags and zipper) are 100% recycled polyester and can be recycled with the rest of the garment.

  • 6. RECYCLE
The garment and zippers can be taken to a local facility where they process mono-material textiles.
